Our honey comes from Croft Apiaries at Bishop Norton, Lincolnshire, about 21 miles from Great Limber. Bob Moulds, who runs it, is the inspector of hives in the area, so he knows a thing or two about bees!
Croft Apiaries have many years' experience in producing the finest honey. The honey can be "creamed" (set, cloudy honey) or clear ("runny honey") - the difference arises only from how the honey cools.
Sometimes you will see a delicate crystalline frosting at the top of the jars - these are minerals from the pollen and nectar gathered by the bees.
Croft Apiaries do have a few hives on the high Yorkshire Moors, and they can supply delicious, fragrant heather honey. For a special treat, why not try honey in the comb? Pure, natural, honest goodness.
Of course, bees don't only make honey. We are able to supply natural bees' wax and other products - please ask.
