Milk, Cheese & Eggs

Our fresh pasteurised milk & cream comes from Roe's Farm Dairy. But we do have other milk, too.

We are very proud of our connection with Roe's Farm Dairy. They have a herd of about 85 cows - Friesian, Jerseys and Gurnseys.

The milk they produce is rich and creamy, a real delight.

There is still a strong demand among village folk for sterilised milk. In the days before fridges, this milk would always keep well. Nowadays its flavour brings back memories of by-gone days in the village. It is good and wholesome - and it is also excellent if you have a yoghurt maker, and want to culture your own yoghurts.

We also carry the old stand-by, UHT milk. This can be stored at room temperature for a long time, and is very useful if you are driving or working long shifts.

All of our eggs are free range and local - our supplier is based in Elsham, North Lincolnshire. They have good yolks, and an excellent flavour. We use them ourselves, all the time.

From time to time we also have eggs from Lord Yarborough's Brocklesby Estate. These are free-range, and are also certified organic. Very special eggs indeed!

We can always supply eggs, milk and cream in bulk, at discount rates. Do ask - we are always happy to help.
